It is our deepest hope everyone will participate. There is no fee to be included in the directory. If you would like a copy of the completed directory as well as your digital image a small fee will be charged at the time of your sitting. Sittings will take place Oct 25th, 27th, 28th and 28th during Global Festival. Sign up is available after church on Sundays or by clicking the following link:  http://signup.com/go/hQRBHyD

Youth Group Movie Night

October 5, 2017

October 6 at 7:00 – 9:30pm (Woodcliff United Church)

For October, we will explore the realm of Human Rights, in connection with the church’s work in the Global Fest. This youth group event we will watch and discuss the movie The True Cost, Directed by Andrew Morgan.

This is a story about clothing. It’s about the clothes we wear, the people who make them, and the impact the industry is having on our world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing?

Please RSVP by Wednesday October 4 at 7:00pm. Contact youthwuc@gmail.com or at 403-875-3579.

Youth Bottle Drive

October 4, 2017

October 15, 2017 @ Woodcliff Church Parking lot

Our first project this year is a bottle drive fundraiser. Don’t worry, you won’t have to go door-to-door or give up your weekend! We are asking the congregation to fill bags with bottles and bring them to the church. On Sunday morning, the youth will sort and load bottles. Monies raised will be split between the youth and a local human rights program.

Reflections from the Rev

Reflections from the Rev

September 13, 2017

This week, again, we offer you a rich smorgasbord of spiritual experiences.  On Sunday, you will be participating in the baptism of a beautiful child, Harlow.  You will be introduced to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, a partnership of fifteen Canadian churches and church-based agencies working together to end global hunger by supporting international programs to meet immediate food needs, reduce malnutrition and achieve sustainable food security for all peoples of the earth.

And, as with all of our worship services, you will be given an opportunity to search your soul to share a deep encounter with the Holy One. Welcome to this place of sanctuary and renewal!

Blessings, Linda
